Meeting with parents of students K66 and K67
On the morning of October 30, 2022, in room 14.H2, Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Building Materials (VLXD) held a meeting with parents of students from cohorts K66 and K67. The meeting aimed to strengthen the connection between the Faculty and families, and to help parents better understand the learning environment, activities, and student life at the university. This would allow families and the Faculty to work together to support and create conditions for students to achieve better academic and personal development results.
Attending the meeting, on behalf of the Faculty of Construction Materials were the Faculty leadership including: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Vinh Long - Head of Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Van Viet Thien An, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Lam - Deputy Heads of Faculty; the lecturers in charge of classes K66 and K67; the Faculty's academic assistants; parents of K66 and K67 students; and student staff from classes K66 and K67, and the Faculty's volunteer student team.
In his opening remarks, Professor Hoang Vinh Long welcomed the parents and expressed the Faculty's desire to cooperate with parents to help students achieve good results during their studies at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. Following this, Professor Van Viet Thien An briefly presented the current training program and regulations. Professor Hoang Vinh Long discussed key points regarding the learning, training, and student life at the university, especially for first-year students.
During the discussion, many parents shared their initial feelings of "unusualness" at being invited to a parent-teacher meeting at the university level. However, upon attending, they found it to be a very necessary and useful meeting, helping them better understand their children's learning environment and providing more effective guidance and solutions. At the meeting, parents also shared their concerns, thoughts, and questions about the training program, regulations, learning environment, conditions, and students' academic results. The faculty leadership and homeroom teachers provided thorough and detailed answers and established communication channels between the Faculty and families.
At the end of the meeting, all parents felt happy, reassured, and expressed their trust in the university their children are attending – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. The Department of Building Materials also extends its gratitude for the support and cooperation of the parents during the past and future periods. Here
