Academic Exchange with University of Liège - Kingdom of Belgium
From February 6th to 10th, 2023, Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Head of the International Cooperation Department and lecturer of the Department of Building Materials, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Lam, Vice Dean and Head of the Department of Building Materials - Faculty of Building Materials - Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, undertook a short-term working trip to Belgium to enhance professional exchange with Belgian experts and implement specific activities of Project 8.3 related to the Technology Transfer Program "WalCoDeViet - High-Quality Recycled Materials: Establishing a Channel for Recovering Construction and Demolition Waste in Vietnam".
- This project, supported by the Wallonie-Bruxelles Foreign Service (WBI), was implemented in collaboration with the University of Liège, coordinated by Dr. Luc Courard, Professor of Architecture, Geology, Environment and Construction (ArGEnCo), Faculty of Applied Sciences.
- As part of the working visit, the two sides jointly organized a workshop on “Sharing experiences of the Wallonie Region and Vietnam on construction waste recovery and demolition,” on February 9, 2023, in Liège, Belgium. The workshop brought together not only university lecturers and researchers, but also businesses from the Wallonie Region operating in this field.
