Outstanding Figure in Materials Engineering - Do Van Hung
The Department of Building Materials is honored to congratulate Do Van Hung (Class 65MSE, graduating in 2024) – one of the outstanding students from the first cohort of the Materials Engineering program – for achieving sweet success after a journey of tireless effort.
During his studies at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, student Do Van Hung participated in a collaborative scientific research project between Hanoi University of Civil Engineering and the Institute of Materials Science – Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology. Thanks to his strong research capabilities and serious work ethic, Hung was retained to work at the Institute of Materials Science after graduation.
Not only is he a pioneering student, Hung also boasts several outstanding achievements:
Scientific research: 1 First Prize & 3 Third Prizes at the university level.
Creative entrepreneurship: A substantial collection of awards including 5 First Prizes, 7 Second Prizes and 1 Third Prize.
Scientific publications: Co-author of 1 article in the journal Materials & Construction.
CONQUERING A FULL SCHOLARSHIP IN THAILAND:
Do Van Hung has successfully won a Postgraduate Scholarship for ASEAN & Non-ASEAN countries with comprehensive financial support (tuition and living expenses) to pursue a Master of Polymer Science at Chulalongkorn University.
This is the most prestigious university in Thailand (Top #221 QS World Rankings), considered a "lighthouse of knowledge" with its advanced research environment and leading professors in Thailand.
