2.1. Introduction to the major
- Ability to research and develop new materials, production technologies, and construction methods for new materials.
2.2. Training and Degree Duration
- Bachelor's Degree (4 years)
- Engineer (equivalent to Master's degree: 5 ÷ 5.5 years)
3. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ACHIEVED AFTER GRADUATION
- Apply knowledge of mathematics, basic sciences, fundamental principles of engineering, technological and management solutions, and skills to form ideas, design, implement, and operate production lines and systems for building materials; analyze technical requirements and characteristics and use building materials effectively; research, develop, and manufacture new materials.
- Possess personal, professional, communication, teamwork skills, and foreign language proficiency, ensuring effective work in a dynamic social context and an interdisciplinary, multicultural, and multinational work environment. - Have a
relevant understanding of economics, politics, society, and law, and the ability and desire to commit to professional ethics and lifelong learning to contribute effectively to the sustainable development of society and the community.
- Be able to develop a career in the construction field in general and related professional fields by participating in and achieving: professional certifications and practice certificates domestically and internationally; postgraduate training programs in the relevant specialization.

5. JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Each year, the demand for engineers in Construction Materials Technology is approximately 200 people, of which 70-80 engineers are directly recruited by the University. According to 2019 statistics, within one year of graduation, over 96% of engineers found employment in the construction industry, with most holding positions such as:
- Consulting, supervising, managing, and controlling the quality of materials and construction work on building projects;
- Technical and managerial staff at factories producing construction materials such as concrete, cement, construction ceramics, construction glass, etc.
- Business and production of construction materials.
- Consulting on design and technology transfer for the production of construction materials suitable to practical needs and the development strategy of the construction materials industry.
- Teaching and scientific research staff at training institutions, institutes, and research centers on construction materials;
- Staff working at state management agencies on construction materials.

Engineers in Construction Materials Technology have many opportunities for learning and personal development such as:

The Construction Materials Technology (CMA) ngành provides in-depth training in the production technology, application, and quality control of various construction materials; research and development of new materials and high-performance materials to meet the increasingly diverse needs in architecture and construction, aiming for sustainable development.
Training objectives: To train competent civil engineers in the field of Construction Materials Technology:
- Selecting, using appropriately, and controlling the quality of construction materials increases the efficiency of the project.
- Design, manage, and operate production lines for building materials such as concrete, cement, glass, and ceramics; - Ability to research and develop new materials, production technologies, and construction methods for new materials.
