Introduction to the Contest

"Innovation - Building Materials Students" is a regular competition held every two years among engineering universities specializing in construction. The aim of the competition is to provide a platform for students from engineering universities specializing in construction, especially those majoring in Building Materials, to enhance their practical knowledge, develop soft skills, foster enthusiasm for scientific research, and advance their professional careers.

The competition's scope is closely tied to the specifics of the construction materials industry. The competition theme is selected by the organizing committee based on practical conditions each year. Participating teams will work together to create a construction material product that meets the criteria set by the organizing committee. The products provided by the organizing committee may be products of the sponsoring company or companies invited to be members of the judging panel. The required products are announced to the teams in advance. The products to be created must be appropriate to the students' knowledge and understanding, suitable for the conditions in Vietnam, and within the organizational budget.

Each participating team consists of 5 members and must name their own team. Team composition includes: 2 fifth-year students and 3 students evenly divided between the second, third, and fourth years. Teams must compete in two parts: a practical test and a head-to-head competition. The practical test accounts for 60-70/100 points, while the head-to-head competition accounts for 30-40/100 points, with specific evaluation criteria defined by the organizers. The final competition will be a head-to-head match between the teams selected from the practical test.

The competition has gradually attracted the attention of many students from technical schools, government agencies, and media outlets.
