Congress of the Trade Union Unit of the Faculty of Building Materials for the 2025–2030 Term

On the afternoon of October 24, 2025, at Hall 13.H2, the Trade Union Unit of the Faculty of Building Materials – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering solemnly held its Trade Union Congress for the 2025–2030 term.

The Congress was honored to welcome Mr. Pham Thai Hoan, Member of the Executive Committee of the University Trade Union, who attended and delivered guidance. A total of 33 out of 34 union members of the Faculty were present, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and a high level of interest in trade union activities.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Nguyen Nhan Hoa, Chairman of the Trade Union Unit of the Faculty of Building Materials for the 2023–2025 term, emphasized the important role of the Congress in reviewing and evaluating the performance of trade union activities in the previous term, while also setting directions, objectives, and practical solutions for the upcoming term.

During the Congress, delegates were presented with:

• The report on trade union activities for the 2023–2025 term;
• The orientations and tasks for the 2025–2030 term;
• The self-assessment report of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union Unit.

The discussions focused on highlighting the role of the trade union in safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of employees, enhancing collective activities and emulation movements, and promoting digital transformation in trade union operations. The Congress also agreed on the need for specific annual action plans, with particular attention to improving the capacity of trade union officials and strengthening cooperation with enterprises and partner organizations to enhance benefits for union members.

In his directive speech, Mr. Pham Thai Hoan, representing the University Trade Union, highly appreciated the achievements of the Faculty’s Trade Union in recent years and provided key orientations to further enhance the effectiveness and practical impact of trade union activities.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union Unit for the 2025–2030 term, consisting of three members:

1. Nguyen Van Dong – Chairman
2. Nguyen Van Binh – Member
3. Tran Le Hong – Member

The election results reflected the strong confidence of union members in the newly elected Executive Committee. The Congress also elected four official delegates and one alternate delegate to attend the 26th Congress of the University Trade Union for the 2025–2030 term.

The Executive Committee for the 2025–2030 term was officially introduced at the Congress.

With the spirit of “Innovation – Democracy – Solidarity – Development”, the Trade Union Congress of the Faculty of Building Materials for the 2025–2030 term was successfully concluded. The Congress called upon all union members to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, dynamism, and creativity, contributing to the sustainable development of the Faculty of Building Materials, in line with the common goals of the University and the well-being of employees.
