INTRODUCTION
Professor Dr. Tong Ton Kien is currently the Vice Director of the Institute for Research and Application of Tropical Building Materials, and a lecturer at the National Institute of Building Materials Science and Technology since 2006. He completed his doctoral dissertation in engineering in 2017 at the University of Civil Engineering and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023.

- Developing sustainable, low-carbon building materials by utilizing agricultural and industrial by-products and waste, and construction solid waste: High-performance concrete (HPC) and ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC), recycled aggregate concrete (RCA), cement-free concrete (Geopolymer concrete - GC), lightweight concrete, etc.
- Advanced construction and maintenance technologies result in low energy consumption and carbon emissions in building construction and maintenance projects.
- Sustainable management solutions and promotion of solid waste recycling for construction materials.
