Dr. Nguyen Trong Lam is currently the Head of the Experimental and Research Center for Building Materials, and the Deputy Head of the Department of Building Materials. He is a lecturer at the Experimental Center for Building Materials Technology. He completed his doctoral dissertation in engineering in 2018 at Saitama University, Japan.

- Chaired the survey of the current condition and quality inspection of reinforced concrete structures, proposing solutions to remedy defects in the LP beam system of berths 2A/2B/3, package B2, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Plant project (2015).
- Participated in training to improve production capacity for technical staff of Bim Son (2004), But Son (2006), and Hoang Thach (2017) cement factories.
- Participated in the Ministry-level program "Research on the application of ultra-high-quality concrete in the construction of small and medium-sized bridges" (2017-2019).
- He chaired the Ministry-level research project "Research on the influence of phosphogypsum from DAP fertilizer production plants replacing natural gypsum on the properties of cement and concrete" (2017-2019).
- Participated in the State-level project "Research on the use of thermal power plant fly ash combined with saline sand and FRP fiberglass reinforcement in coastal and island infrastructure projects" (2017-2020).
