Introduction to Industrial Logistics Specialization

Vietnam is preparing to enter a new stage of development—a new era of national progress. One of the key solutions and strategic orientations for the country’s economic development is to focus on the advancement of new productive forces, initiate and implement a comprehensive digital transformation, and utilise science, technology, and innovation as the primary driving forces for growth. In this context, the industrial sector plays a pivotal role as the engine of national economic development.

Logistics is a core function within industrial plants, encompassing activities such as planning and managing production processes; monitoring material, information, and financial flows; and coordinating resources throughout the production system. Effective logistics management helps eliminate unnecessary costs, improve operational efficiency, and enhance competitiveness. It contributes to solving production and business challenges, improving productivity, and ensuring output quality of products and services through the systematic and creative application of mathematical and computational models, industrial engineering tools, knowledge of human factors (ergonomics), and environmental and socio-economic considerations related to production and business operations.

Students majoring in Industrial Logistics gain a comprehensive understanding of factory production organisation, enabling them to calculate and forecast demands for raw materials, machinery and equipment, labour, and finished products. They are also equipped with solid foundations in science and technology to research, transfer, and apply new technologies in production and business activities. Graduates of the Industrial Logistics programme have diverse and promising career opportunities, well aligned with the country’s ongoing industrialisation and modernisation process.
