INTRODUCE
  • Associate Professor Dr. Van Viet Thien An has been a lecturer at the National Institute of Building Materials Technology since 2001. He completed his doctoral dissertation in engineering in 2013 at Bauhaus University Weimar, Germany.

OUTSTANDING SCIENTIFIC WORKS
  • Participated in the crude oil pipeline coating project for Vietsopetro-Vung Tau Joint Venture (2000-2001).
  • Participated in the feasibility study and technological design of the Truc Thon ceramic tile factory investment project with a capacity of 2 million m2/year - Truc Thon Materials and Clay Exploitation Company - Vietnam Steel Corporation (2001-2003).
  • Participated in the feasibility study and technological design of the Bac Kan cement plant with a capacity of 60,000 tons of clinker/year - Thai Nguyen Construction Company (2002-2003).
  • Field Inspection Specialist in Materials and Testing - Capacity Building Training for Consulting and Supervision - Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway Project - Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation (2013-2014)
  • Chaired the survey of the current condition and quality inspection of reinforced concrete structures, proposing solutions to remedy defects in the LP beam system of berths 2A/2B/3, package B2, Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Plant project (2015).
  • Participated in training to improve production capacity for technical staff of Bim Son (2004), But Son (2006), and Hoang Thach (2017) cement factories.
  • Participated in the Ministry-level program "Research on the application of ultra-high-quality concrete in the construction of small and medium-sized bridges" (2017-2019).
  • He chaired the Ministry-level research project "Research on the influence of phosphogypsum from DAP fertilizer production plants replacing natural gypsum on the properties of cement and concrete" (2017-2019).
  • Participated in the State-level project "Research on the use of thermal power plant fly ash combined with saline sand and FRP fiberglass reinforcement in coastal and island infrastructure projects" (2017-2020).
  • Chairing the State-level research project "Research on the use of saline-contaminated sand as a material for road embankment and leveling" (2019-2025)
