Nhu Quy is a senior lecturer in the Department of Building Materials Technology , having started working in 1977. His main areas of interest include: concrete technology; concrete additives; cement grinding aids; roller-compacted concrete for roads and dams, etc. He completed his doctoral dissertation in engineering in 1997 at the Hanoi University of Civil Engineering .

AREAS OF RESEARCH AND INTEREST
  • Natural mineral additives, including limestone powder and fly ash, are used in ordinary concrete, high-strength concrete, high-fly ash mass concrete, self-compacting concrete, and roller-compacted concrete.
  • Using limestone in the production of limestone Portland cement.
  • Using ultrafine silica-fume and nano-silica additives in high-strength concrete.
  • Triethanolamine surfactant is used as a rapid hardening additive for concrete and as a grinding aid in cement production.
