Mr. Le Manh Cuong - Department of Chemistry receives patent
Currently, most heat-resistant, chemical-resistant, and salt-resistant paints, both imported and domestically produced, use organic binder systems such as alkyd, epoxy, silicone, or PU. While these systems offer many advantages, they are less effective at high temperatures. Furthermore, the solvent content in these paints can have negative environmental impacts during use.
Therefore, the research "Process for manufacturing heat-resistant, salt-resistant, acid- and base-resistant silicate paint" by Dr. Le Manh Cuong is a novel research direction, offering great promise and prospects. Through the research process, a heat-resistant paint with an inorganic binder system using water as a solvent has been created, solving most of the aforementioned drawbacks.
Simultaneously, the use of readily available domestic and environmentally friendly raw materials increases the proactive approach in sourcing materials for large-scale production. The current invention is applied to the manufacture of heat-resistant paint used for anti-corrosion coatings under high-temperature conditions.
