Introduction to Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry was established from the very beginning of the University of Construction in 1966. 
The department has a team of highly qualified and well-trained lecturers and researchers, including 5 PhDs, 6 Master's degree holders, and 3 Bachelor's degree holders.

In its teaching activities, the department teaches basic subjects to students throughout the university; it also teaches foundational and postgraduate subjects for the Construction Materials and Environmental Engineering majors. The department also participates in training for high-quality engineering programs as well as other joint training programs.

In its research activities, the department focuses on the following areas:

• Inorganic materials, green materials; Nanomaterials, advanced materials
• Polymer composite materials
• Environmental treatment materials geared toward sustainable development
• Waterproofing and corrosion-resistant materials and protective methods for construction projects; 
• Cement and concrete additives
• Calculation and design of chemical technology systems
• Treatment of sludge and solid waste; Treatment of heavy metals in industrial wastewater.
