
I. Formation and Development Process:
The Student Volunteer Team of the Faculty of Construction Materials – Hanoi University of Civil Engineering was established on September 19, 2009 , under the direct guidance of the Faculty of Construction Materials' Student Union and the Youth Union of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering .
From its inception, the team consisted of just over 20 members, all enthusiastic students passionate about social activities. Over more than 15 years of formation and development , the Student Volunteer Team of the Faculty of Construction Materials has become one of the core, dynamic, and proudest groups in the Youth Union and Student Association movement throughout the university.
With the motto "Contribution – Experience – Growth ," the team is not only a place for skill development and personal growth but also a common home for students who embody the spirit of community service and the spirit of those studying Construction Materials – "building the foundation for life."

III. Organizational Structure
The Student Volunteer Team is currently under the direct supervision of the Student Union of the Faculty of Building Materials , and includes:

The team's leadership team consists of one team leader, two deputy team leaders, and group leaders responsible for areas such as Logistics, Communications, Activities - Projects, and Human Resources.

Current membership : approximately 80–100 students from various courses within the Department of Building Materials.
Each year, the team recruits new members at the beginning of the school year, maintaining regular meetings to hone skills, exchange experiences, and implement activity plans.




IV. Outstanding Activities
Throughout its history, the Student Volunteer Team of the Faculty of Building Materials has made its mark through many outstanding programs:
1. The "Green Summer" Campaign

Joining the City Youth Union and the school in activities in mountainous and remote provinces such as Bac Giang, Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa, Son La, Hoa Binh, etc.

Typical activities include: repairing and renovating schools, building roads, painting walls, raising awareness about environmental protection, guiding children, and constructing small youth projects.

2. The "Green Materials - For a Sustainable Environment" campaign

Organize innovative projects on material recycling and environmentally friendly material modeling.

Collaborate with lecturers and businesses to organize workshops on recycled materials, green cement, lightweight concrete, and sustainable development.

3. “Warm Spring in the Highlands – Sharing the Tết Holiday”

Every Lunar New Year, the team organizes fundraising and donation drives to provide gifts to poor children, students in mountainous areas, and disadvantaged families.

The journey is not just about sharing material things, but also an opportunity for students to gain practical experience and understand the value of dedication and compassion.

4. Annual activities at the school

"Green Sunday" involves cleaning up the school grounds and promoting waste sorting.
Assisting in organizing faculty and university events such as: Freshman Orientation Day, Faculty Anniversary Celebration, academic competitions, specialized seminars, etc.


V. Outstanding Achievements

For many years, the university's Youth Union has awarded the student union for outstanding achievements in volunteer work and student activities.

In 2023, the team was nominated as one of the outstanding "Outstanding Student Teams at the Faculty Level".
Hundreds of students received awards and certificates for participating in school and city-level volunteer campaigns.
VI. Development orientation in the coming period
Expanding operations and developing specialized projects linked to green materials, sustainable construction, and environmental protection .
Strengthening connections with businesses and alumni will create resources to support community programs.
Developing digital communication – building an image of the Faculty of Construction Materials' student volunteer team as modern, professional, creative, and integrated.
Enhance internal training: organizational skills, leadership skills, teamwork, and community communication for members.

Over more than 15 years of formation and development , the Student Volunteer Team of the Faculty of Building Materials has affirmed its role as a pioneering force in community activities at Hanoi University of Civil Engineering. Each volunteer journey is a mark of youth, a testament to the spirit of "Where there is a need, the youth are there - where there is difficulty, the youth of the Faculty of Building Materials are there."
