IV. Functions and Responsibilities:

* Participating in political and ideological education, revolutionary ethics, and lifestyle education for student union members.
* Organizing cultural, artistic, and sports activities to enhance spiritual life, contributing to gathering, attracting, and guiding values ​​for union members.
* Participating in building a healthy learning and living environment, contributing to improving the quality of learning and scientific research among students.
* Building grassroots union organizations and fostering Party development among students.
* Collaborating with other organizations to evaluate student conduct within the university.
V. Outstanding Achievements and Activities:
1. Student Movements:
The movement for learning and scientific research is always given attention by the university's union and the Youth Union, and is identified as the main task of union members and students. The goal is to improve the quality of learning and promote the proactive and positive spirit of each student. The Faculty's Student Union, in collaboration with the Faculty's leadership, has organized numerous activities, including:
- Annually, at the beginning of each academic year, the Student Union Executive Committee, in coordination with the Faculty's leadership, organizes the "Welcome to New Students" program. The purpose is to foster interaction between faculty and students, helping new students better understand the regulations, training programs, study methods, and gain information about their chosen field and career path after graduation. Since 2019, the Faculty's Student Union has innovated its approach to welcoming new students by organizing team-playing games in Yen So Park, each year with a different format. This activity has garnered significant attention from students both within and outside the Faculty.
- Many student branches have actively promoted competitive activities, creating a vibrant and healthy competitive atmosphere, contributing to improved academic performance. Each year, many students in the Faculty receive scholarships both within and outside the university .
On the morning of June 7th, the Student Activities Review Conference for the 2024-2025 academic year was successfully held in Hall G3. The Faculty of Building Materials is proud to have contributed significantly to the success of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering's activities this academic year with impressive achievements.
2.  Cultural and Sports Activities:
Cultural and sports activities are an indispensable need for youth union members. These activities always attract a large number of students and are also one of the traditional strengths of the youth of Hanoi University of Civil Engineering in general and students of the Faculty of Building Materials in particular. Therefore, the Youth Union always strives to organize well and correctly oriented cultural and sports activities at all levels, creating a healthy environment for union members and students, thereby promoting the effectiveness of propaganda and education work.
- In coordination with the University Youth Union, successfully organized programs such as: “Charming Construction”, “Talented MC”, “Talented Construction Students”, “Build Up 2024”; “Construction Blood Donation”; “Hanoi University of Civil Engineering Student Sports Tournament”; “Hanoi University of Civil Engineering Men's Football Tournament”.
- Successfully organized sports tournaments with the participation of all classes in the faculty, such as the traditional men's football tournament, etc. These activities created a lively atmosphere and attracted a large number of students from the entire faculty.
